Friction Free Shaving "Mullet" TV Advert
Friction Free Shaving (FFS) are the first womens razor subscription service to be launched in the UK. FFS specialise in producing quality affordable razors for women, sending the razors to their subscribers in the post every month. The brand was launched in 2014, and have been a mainstay at Hearts and Minds ever since.
FFS engaged Hearts and Minds to create a 30 second TV ad which resonated with the brands personality. The creative behind the ad was to continue to push boundaries and champion female rights. The script needed to be elegant, but include some cheeky humour.
After a few rounds of creative, the 'Mullet' script was selected. Hearts and Minds then worked closely with Channel 5's "5 Creative" to produce the TV ad. This would include casting, set design, shoot-day, sound mixing, voice-over and Clearcast approval. A 30-second, 10-second and social media edited ad were produced.
The FFS Mullet Ad was an instant hit across the nationals and social media. The campaign was picked up in multiple womens magazines including Glamour, Bazaar, and the Stylist, as well as the Daily Mail Online, Campaign, Irish media and media outlets across the world. The company saw a huge jump in site traffic and subscriptions as a result.
